The following side effects may get better over time as your body gets used to the medication. Let your healthcare provider know immediately if you continue to experience these symptoms or if they worsen over time

Common Side Effects

  • Injection site reactions (Mild pain and discomfort, redness and bruising 

  • Digestive issues (Nausea and diarrhea or constipation)

Other Side Effects

  • Allergic reactions (Itching, rash, hives, and, in severe cases, difficulty breathing or anaphylaxis)

  • Skin reactions (Acne and rashes)

Long term effects

  • Allergic reactions : Severe allergic reactions can include rash, itching, swelling (especially of the face, tongue, or throat), severe dizziness, and difficulty breathing
  • Cardiovascular issues:  In some cases, Biotin injections may cause irregular heartbeats or a significantly increased heart rate. This can be particularly dangerous for individuals with underlying heart conditions

  • Respiratory issues: Breathing problems: Difficulty breathing and shortness of breath can occur as part of a severe allergic reaction or as an isolated side effect in rare cases
